“Tree Branch” is a pinhole photograph exposed to the sun for 6 months. These images are also referred to as “solargraphs”. During the exposure the wooden camera was also exposed outdoors to the rain, ice, snow, cold and heat. The resulting image is the combination of the sun burning a image onto the photographic paper and the natural elements. I print this image onto canvas using an inkjet printer with pigment inks onto canvas. Then I mount the canvas onto a wooden panel and sculpt and paint a frame around the panel.
