I have found references to February’s moon as both the “snow” moon and the “hunger” moon. The full moon was on February 13th. I set out 2 cameras the evening of the 13th, through the early morning of the 14th. I had scouted out a location in Jockey’s Ridge State Park in nearby Nags Head.
Jockey’s Ridge is a visually interesting mix of sand dunes and sparse vegetation. Unfortunately, I failed to do justice to the area this evening. It was enjoyable being out there though, so it was at least a partially successful pinhole outing.
